PRINCE2® (PRoject IN Controlled Environments) is a project management method designed to ensure that a project meet its objectives (within constraints of cost, time and quality) and that it delivers stated benefits.

The method is widely used by many of the UK’s leading private and public sector organizations. It is now also used worldwide in a large variety of businesses and organizations. The PRINCE2 certification is an exam-based qualification composed of two levels :

Foundation and Practitioner.
This intensive PRINCE2 Practitioner 2 day course is designed to enable you to gain a solid experience of the aplication and use of the PRINCE2 project management approach.

By the end of this 2 day course you will be able to :
- Know or comment on detailed explanations of all processes, themes and techniques, and worked examples of all PRINCE2 management products as they might be applied to address the particular circumstances of a given project scenario
- Understand the relationships between principles, themes, processes and PRINCE2 management products and that you can apply this knowledge in the context of a real project,
- Understand the reasons behind the PRINCE2 principles, themes, processes and techniques,
- Tailor (adapt) PRINCE2 to different project environments.
- Pass the PRINCE2 Practitioner examination

To achieve this the course will use accelerated learning techniques which create a fun, interactive and interesting training environment. There will be a combination of slide presentations, individual and group practical exercises which are designed to prepare you well and maximize your success at the PRINCE2 Practitioner examination.

The format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam is an 2,5 hours open book (only the official TSO PRINCE2 Manual is allowed) proctored online exam based on a case study and it is the format of complex multiple choice questions. The exam is done on a third day at home or work at your own convenience.
To sit the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam you must have succesfully passed the PRINCE2 Foundation exam.

You will receive the manual PRINCE2 Manual – Managing a successful project using PRINCE2 Edition 2017 on the first day of the course.

38 marks or more required to pass (out of 68 available) – 55%
Two-and-a-half hours (150 minutes) duration, no additional reading time
Open book exam (official PRINCE2 manual only).



In order to sit the PRINCE2 Practitioner examination you must provide proof of having passed one of the following:

PRINCE2 Foundation
Project Management Professional (PMP)
Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
IPMA Level A® (Certified Projects Director)
IPMA Level B® (Certified Senior Project Manager)
IPMA Level C® (Certified Project Manager)
IPMA Level D® (Certified Project Management Associate)



This qualification is aimed at Project Managers and aspiring Project Managers. It is also relevant to other key staff involved in the design, development and delivery of projects, including: Project Board members (e.g. Senior Responsible Owners), Team Managers (e.g. Product Delivery Managers), Project Assurance (e.g. Business Change Analysts), Project Support (e.g. Project and Programme Office personnel) and operational line managers/staff.
